Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct accounting or bookkeeping experience with a U.S.-based law firm.
• Experience handling law firm financial transactions, case expenses, settlement accounting, or legal billing.
• Strong understanding of law firm accounting procedures and financial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Settlement Disbursements (SD): prepare, process, track, and coordinate requests; verify amounts and supporting records; maintain organized records.
• Case Cost Pulls and Verification: retrieve, review, and summarize case costs; ensure proper allocation and resolve discrepancies with teams.
• Accounting Case Costs (ACC) and Check Requests: process ACC requests; verify invoices and approvals; track payment status.
• Accounting Support and Reconciliation: reconcile case expenses; maintain spreadsheets and reporting for management.
• Communication and Workflow Management: coordinate with U.S.-based accounting; provide daily progress updates and meet deadlines.
