Job summary

RemoteVA is seeking a Remote Hospice Medical Biller to join our team as a full-time, remote position. You will accurately process hospice claims, verify insurance, and code/bill using ICD-10 and CPT standards, while staying compliant with HIPAA.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a virtual environment, with at least 2 years of hospice/home health billing experience and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules. Competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in medical billing, preferably in hospice or home health.
• Proficient in ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing rules and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a remote, virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and process medical claims for hospice services.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
