Job summary

CKH Group is hiring a full-time, Philippines-based Government Accountant with hands-on Bisan ERP experience and a background in U.S. governmental accounting. The role covers a 12–14 month engagement supporting a national government ministry, funded by a multilateral development bank, operating under GASB and Bisan ERP.

You will reconcile ledgers, prepare audit schedules, and train government staff on Bisan functions, reporting to a U.S.-based Engagement Manager. Strong English skills and U.S.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on use of Bisan ERP’s financial modules.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience under U.S. GAAP.
• Knowledge of GASB fund accounting, including funds and interfund balances.
• Ability to clear reconciliation backlogs and resolve aged balances.
• Experience preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger balances in Bisan to bank statements, subsidiary ledgers, and third-party support; document each reconciliation.
• Clear backlogged monthly and year-end reconciliations, research items, and draft adjusting entries with client approval.
• Produce a reconciled year-end trial balance for financial statement prep and audit.
• Work with government staff to reconcile balances across fiscal years and interfund balances.
• Prepare audit schedules from auditor requests and help answer questions.
• Pull reports, trace transactions, and use Bisan GL, banking, fixed assets, and reporting functions.
• Show client staff how to record journal entries and run reconciliations in Bisan; postings made by client staff.
• Help the U.S. team build working knowledge of Bisan.
• Join weekly client calls and regular check-ins with the Engagement Manager.
• Maintain open-items list and contribute to monthly status reports; track time accurately.
