Job summary

Turnitin is hiring a General Ledger Accountant to support the International Accounting Team. You will manage general ledgers, perform reconciliations, and assist with monthly close processes across multiple time zones. The role emphasizes process improvements and internal controls.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with experience in fast-paced environments, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with NetSuite. Collaboration with tax and external accounting providers is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with experience in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with 3rd party accounting providers and external audits.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and related accounting for Turnitin’s US & International Entities.
• Coordinate with outsourced providers for statutory accounts.
• Assist in year-end audits and tax reporting deliverables.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for non-revenue GL accounts.
• Generate monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses for management.
