Job summary

Welocalize, Inc. is seeking a remote freelance reviewer to audit pre-segmented audio data for training speech-to-speech AI models. The role involves verifying word-level segments, timestamps, and transcripts, while flagging non-target or sensitive content per the style guide.

You will work independently from a globally distributed team, using AI-assisted tools as needed. Prior transcription or labeling experience is preferred, with strong English fluency and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English with strong spoken and written forms.
• Experience with audio transcription or data labeling preferred.
• Comfortable using annotation/labeling tools and following a style guide.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to guideline updates.

Responsibilities

• Listen to short audio clips and review automatically generated word-level segments (start timestamp, end timestamp, transcription).
• Verify segment boundaries align with actual speech onset and offset.
• Review start/end timestamps when boundaries are inaccurate.
• Identify and flag tasks for discard per defined criteria (unintelligible audio, non-target language, sensitive content, no voice activity).
• Maintain consistency and accuracy across a detailed, evolving style guide.
