Job summary

Vitable is seeking an Assistant Controller / Controller to own the accounting function, oversee our outsourced partner, and drive the 2025 audit to completion. You will lead the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite or Sage Intacct and report to the VP of Finance.

You will manage monthly close, ensure quality controls, and deliver financial packages for leadership and the board. This is a remote, high-impact role with a focus on scalable financial infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 8+ years accounting experience with senior role
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and month-end close expertise
• Experience with external audits and PBC coordination
• Experience with outsourced accounting teams
• Familiarity with ERP selection and implementation
• CPA or equivalent preferred
• Excellent English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function and oversee outsourced accounting partner
• Lead the 2025 financial audit and manage auditor relationships
• Oversee monthly close with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Enforce controls around disbursements, vendor payments, and third-party invoices
• Evaluate and migrate to a next-gen ERP (NetSuite/Sage Intacct) from QuickBooks
• Deliver monthly reporting packages to VP of Finance and board
• Document internal controls, policies, and SOPs for scale
• Coordinate with external tax advisors for filings
• Identify and fix finance process gaps and drive automation
