Job summary

The Finance and Accounting Officer will safeguard the integrity of the General Ledger, ensure timely month-end close, and deliver complete financial schedules and reconciliations to enable fast, informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BS Accountancy) required; CPA is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on General Ledger accounting and month-end close experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong experience supporting month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, reclassifications, reversals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proven ability to prepare audit-ready schedules, lead sheets, roll-forwards, trial balance analyses, and financial reporting support.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work accurately with transaction-level data and multiple source files.
• Working knowledge of Philippine tax, including VAT, withholding taxes, income tax schedules, and BIR documentation.
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations, entity reporting, and financial statement consolidation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of hotel accounting, including revenue recognition, deferred bookings, OTA commissions, inventory, and lease accounting, is an advantage.
• Experience in Japan-headquartered multinational or highly controlled environments, including J-SOX/ICFR documentation or testing, is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting matters clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrity of General Ledger accounts and month-end close processes.
• Prepare audit-ready schedules, lead sheets, and consolidation-supported financial reporting.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and assist with tax schedules and entity reporting.
• Maintain closing schedules, journal entries, and supporting documentation for audit trails.
• Support internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance in a hospitality multi-entity environment.
