Job summary

ClientEarth in a remote Manila setting seeks a Lawyer, Energy and Nature to support its REM and FOLU programs in Southeast Asia. You will help advance the low‑carbon transition and biodiversity conservation through legal analysis, policy work, and regulatory insights.

You will engage with partners across Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan and the broader region, conducting research and drafting, and representing ClientEarth in a variety of forums.

Qualifications

• Must hold a law degree and be admitted to practice.
• Strong understanding of energy transition and biodiversity law.
• Experience with policy/regulatory frameworks in SE Asia.

Responsibilities

• Advance Southeast Asia energy transition and biodiversity law work.
• Conduct legal research on energy and biodiversity regulation.
• Engage with partners across Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan and the region.
• Represent ClientEarth in external forums.
