Job summary

Hyre is seeking detail-oriented Drafters to produce shop drawings and material takeoffs for commercial roofing, cladding and architectural sheet metal projects. You will jump-start procurement by delivering organized takeoffs and cut lists, supporting Project Managers before field measurements are available.

Candidates with exteriors experience in roofing, cladding or sheet metal, and strong AutoCAD/Bluebeam skills, will be preferred.

Qualifications

Drafting experience is essential and takesoffs are core to the role.
Experience in commercial roofing, cladding or architectural sheet metal preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam; strong Excel skills required.
Must be able to read architectural drawings and understand material limits.
Clear written and verbal English communication is required.

Responsibilities

Takeoffs from drawings for roofing, cladding and sheet metal.
Build supplier-ready cut lists and order data in Excel or Autodesk export.
Produce shop drawings, roof plans and panel layouts in AutoCAD; mark up in Bluebeam.
Review takeoffs with the team and release materials after PM feedback.
Verify quantities against drawings, specs and local codes.
