Job summary

CyberOne is seeking a passionate Cyber Defender to join our Security Operations Center in a remote, full-time capacity. This entry-level role focuses on monitoring security alerts, analyzing potential threats, containing risks, and escalating incidents as needed to protect our clients.

You will be the first line of defense, working on incident management, collaborating with teammates, and engaging in regular training to grow your cybersecurity skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly assess and prioritize incidents in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and network monitoring tools is advantageous.
• Good communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
• Basic understanding of ITIL practices is beneficial.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SC200, CompTIA Security+, CCNA) are desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor security event queues and investigate threats and incidents.
• Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls and communications.
• Conduct initial analysis of security alerts and escalate to higher-level analysts.
• Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries with strong service.
• Document incidents and actions taken in a clear, comprehensive manner.
• Collaborate with team members for coordinated incident response.
• Stay informed about current cybersecurity threats and emerging technologies.
• Participate in regular training to enhance technical and professional skills.
• Demonstrate a security-first mindset in daily activities and customer interactions.
