Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a skilled Bot Developer to build and refine conversational bots for WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, and similar platforms. You’ll design flows, manage state, and ensure reliable user experiences across channels in a hybrid AI + human environment.

The role is freelance/part-time remote, requiring hands-on bot engineering, API work, and knowledge of platform requirements. English proficiency at least B2+ is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of backend, integration, automation, or bot development experience.
• Portfolio of bots built for messaging platforms required.
• English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2+) or above required.

Responsibilities

• Build bots for multiple messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack).
• Design and implement conversational flows and fallback handling.
• Integrate bots with LLMs for natural language responses.
• Connect bots to backend services and third-party APIs.
• Handle webhooks, rate limits, and platform-specific formats.
• Evaluate and refactor AI-generated bot code for reliability.
• Implement logging and monitoring to keep bots healthy.
