Somewhere is seeking an Audit Associate to join a US-based team remotely from the Philippines. The role supports audit engagements from planning to completion and requires working US business hours as an independent contractor.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 1–3 years of audit experience, preferably in public accounting, with strong English communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting. Experience with US standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of audit experience (public accounting experience is preferred).
• Strong understanding of audit processes and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience working with US clients or standards is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review and analyse financial statements to identify risks or inconsistencies.
• Prepare audit workpapers and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform testing of internal controls and substantive audit procedures.
• Collaborate with senior auditors and managers to meet deadlines.
• Communicate findings clearly and professionally.
