Alignerr is seeking a versatile Software Engineer for a fully remote hourly contract to help shape how AI writes and reasons about code. You will write, review, and improve AI-generated code and provide expert feedback to train smarter coding assistants.

This is hands-on engineering at the frontier of AI development. Ideal candidates are proficient in multiple languages, have strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and can explain technical decisions clearly.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript).
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to read, write, and reason about code with clarity.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across multiple languages and domains.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured feedback explaining why code works or doesn't.
• Design prompts and edge cases to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
