A maritime training organization in Manila is looking for an experienced Registrar Assistant. The role requires a college graduate with at least three years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include overseeing trainee enrollment, ensuring the accuracy of issued certificates, and leading customer relationship activities related to training. Familiarity with the STCW convention and Data Privacy Act is essential for this position. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education: Graduate of any four (4) year College course
Experiences: At least three (3) years work experience in the registrar's or similar office as an assistant to the registrar or similar capacity at a maritime school or maritime training center
Competencies:
Fully familiar with all mandatory and recommended courses for officer's and rating as per STCW convention, as amended.
Familiar with all local and international institutions involved in the certification of competencies of seafarers.
Must be organized and possess superior skills in dealing with people.
Attention to detail even under pressure.
Familiarity with Data Privacy Act of NPC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in overseeing enrollment of trainees endorsed by Training Guidance Section and/or external clients.
Ensures that the certificates to be issued are checked and reviewed before securing signatures of Training Director and President.
Leads the company's customer relationship activities for training related concerns
Prepares a list of enrolled trainees monthly to be sent in accounting.
In charge of monitoring of registration records.
Support all efforts in the implementation of the company's Quality Management System.
Perform other tasks and duties within his area of competence as assigned by the Registration Section Head.
