Position Summary

Focused on helping achieve the Finance Shared Services mission of serving the business accurately, efficiently, and politely with the vision to operate silently in the background so the business can maximize profitability. This is accomplished by reviewing the accounts receivable aging for assigned customers, proactively contacting them to understand why past due balances exist and noting billing errors that require resolution to timely payment.

Essential Job Functions

• Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts using multiple tools and ERP’s
• Communications (verbal and written) to customers to;
• Collect payment of delinquent accounts
• Advance collection requests in accordance with due dates required for cash forecasting purposes
• Follow up of payment arrangements
• Performs account reconciliations and analysis
• Prepare and provide statements, invoices, and other reports/documents to recommend appropriate actions on customer accounts
• Resolves client-billing problems, troubleshooting and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner
• Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss/escalate to management and/or internal sales staff.
• Review and research assigned accounts for application of unapplied cash and deposits
• Enforces adherence to corporate collection policies and procedures
• Perform other activities as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma

Experience: Minimum 2 years in of corporate business to business collections experience including interaction with a large customer base.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a focus on Excel
• Preferred experience of Oracle EBS 12
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills required
• Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency and be a team player
• Ability to deliver difficult news diplomatically

Work Conditions

Generally, work in an office environment. No travel is expected.
