As our Compensation and Benefits Specialist you will coordinate and manage the team members compensation and benefits programs and prepare the payroll to hand to finance for payment for the local and globally based Mad Monkey team in the Philippines. This includes benefits administration and claims, coordination and implementation of compensation and benefits policies and coordination with payroll preparation in statutory reporting.
You will work closely with the Regional Human Resources Manager/Officer, Regional Operations Manager and the Finance Team. An ideal candidate for this role would have prior experience, an HR degree, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure overall competitiveness and alignment with Mad Monkey policy and local government requirements.
- Provides a critical and strategic role in drawing up salary structure and bandings.
- Participates in yearly compensation studies/ reviews including benefits to align with the company’s budget.
- Ensures up-to date information and appropriate with regards to current average salary payscale, legal and regulatory requirements and best practices of competitors.
- Ensures that system - related requirements of HR in terms of resources and directions are made available.
- Maintenance of the efficient records management system and team member information services ensure completeness and accuracy of records via our HRMI system.
- Ensures compliance with DOLE regulated benefits and must stay up to date with regulatory changes ie: minimum wage update and salary parity requirements.
- Prepare payroll processing for finance and timekeeping.
- Prepares property wide time keeping, 13th month pay, last pay, BIR 2316.
- Ensure distribution of payslip on time in every property.
- Monitoring of properties holiday leaves such as vacation leave and compensatory time offs and maternity leave.
- Monitor and process employee clearance and exit interview.
- Monitor the releasing of last pay and quitclaims.
- Ensures any equipment or company property is returned.
- Liaise with government mandated offices in submission and completion of team members’ benefits in the SSS, Philhealth and PAG IBIG.
- Ensure the submission of statutory numbers before onboarding.
- Collaborate with payroll for all salary adjustments, crucial payments and deductions to team members.
- Act as Point of Contact for compensation and benefits-related queries.
- Ensure that employees are provided with the correct benefits both company and government mandated benefits.
- Maintains and updates team members’ data in HRIS.

Health and Safety
- Proactively support the Company’s health and safety agenda.
- Ensure all team members are aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities as required by the company Health and Safety Policy, and monitor compliance with procedural requirements.
- To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety policy as applicable to your place of work, including awareness of any specific hazards in your Workplace.
- Ensuring the wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory and ensure this is applied across all departments where applicable.
- Report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment according to hostel procedures.
- Ensure that any accidents to team members, guests, customers, or visitors are reported immediately by correct procedures and ensure awareness of these procedures across the division.
- Attend Statutory Fire and any relevant Health and Safety training, be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire and Health and Safety. Be vigilant in ensuring this is managed effectively across the operation.
- To be fully conversant with all Risk Assessments for your departments, COSHH Regulations, and Fire and Bomb Procedures and ensure the team is up to date and proactively manages their responsibilities in these areas.
- Be ready for company audits and ensure remedial actions are followed, presenting financial costs and project plans where required.
