About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Head to lead the talent acquisition function of a start-up manning office. This is a key leadership role responsible for building the recruitment team, developing hiring strategies, and ensuring the timely deployment of qualified seafarers and shore-based staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement recruitment strategies to meet vessel and shore-based staffing requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the recruitment team to deliver results.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with maritime training centers, schools, and industry networks.
  • Oversee sourcing, screening, and selection of qualified officers, crew, and support staff.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) and other relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with operations and crewing managers to forecast manpower needs.
  • Track recruitment KPIs and prepare regular reports for management.
  • Build a strong employer brand within the maritime community.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in recruitment management within a manning agency, shipping, or crewing company.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime recruitment processes, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to build and lead a team.
