Job summary

Clinica Prime Cebu, Incorporated is seeking a compassionate Radiology Nurse to provide safe patient care before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. You will assess patients, establish IV access, monitor during procedures, administer medications, and assist radiologists and technologists.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, monitoring vitals and responses, post-procedure care, and clear discharge instructions.

Qualifications

• Valid RN licensure and IV therapy certification are required.
• Experience in radiology, diagnostic imaging, ER, or procedural nursing is preferred.
• Proficient in IV insertion, sedation monitoring, sterile technique, and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-procedure for allergies and contraindications.

• Administer medications, contrast media, and analgesics as ordered.

Job description

Radiology Nurse

Location: Mantlewood Town Center (Clinica Prime - Mantlewood Clinic)
Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Radiology Nurse to provide safe and quality patient care before, during, and after diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology procedures. The role involves patient assessment, IV access, medication administration, monitoring, and assisting the radiology team.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Procedure

• Assess patients for allergies, laboratory results, kidney function, pregnancy, and other procedure-related contraindications.

• Explain procedures and verify informed consent.

• Establish and maintain peripheral IV access, infusion/port-a-caths, and other required access.

• Provide pre-procedure instructions, including fasting and medication guidelines.

During Procedure

• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, pulse oximetry, and oxygen saturation.

• Administer prescribed medications, contrast media, analgesics, and sedation as ordered and within scope of practice.

• Assist Radiologists and Radiologic Technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

• Ensure proper patient positioning, comfort, and safety.

• Recognize and promptly respond to contrast reactions, allergic reactions, and other emergencies.

Post-Procedure

• Monitor patients during recovery and for delayed adverse reactions.

• Provide pain management and post-procedure care.

• Explain discharge and home-care instructions.

• Coordinate with physicians, families, and other healthcare units and complete patient documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)

• Valid IV Therapy Certificate is required

• Preferably with experience in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Room, or Procedural Nursing

• Knowledge of IV insertion, sedation monitoring, sterile technique, contrast media, and radiation safety

• Excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork skills

• Able to remain calm and responsive in emergency or high-pressure situations

• Can start immediately.
