Job summary

Oriental Consultants Global is seeking a highly experienced civil engineer with a strong background in transport infrastructure projects. The role requires over 20 years in civil engineering, including 15 years dedicated to large-scale highways, rail, and urban transit developments.

The candidate should have at least 5 years as a Quantity Surveyor with rigorous quality control protocols, and regional exposure in SAARC/ASEAN contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 20+ years of broad civil engineering experience with focus on transport infrastructure.
• 15 years of specialized experience in highways, expressways, rail systems, and urban transit networks.
• Minimum 5 years as a Quantity Surveyor with QA protocols.
• Experience in SAARC and ASEAN regions.
• MDB-funded railway project experience is a plus.
• Willing to work abroad.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent relevant discipline.

Professional Experience:
Brings over 20 years of broad professional experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on transport infrastructure projects. Includes 15 years of specialized experience in large-scale transport infrastructure developments such as highways, expressways, rail systems, and urban transit networks.

Quality Control Expertise:
Has served as an Quantity Surveyor minimum of 5 years , ensuring adherence to international standards, implementing rigorous quality assurance protocols, and maintaining construction excellence across complex infrastructure projects.

Regional Experience:
Extensive working experience in the SAARC and ASEAN regions, with a deep understanding of regional standards, regulatory frameworks, and multicultural project environments.

Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) Experience:
Experience in leading ADB and/or other MDB-funded railway projects is considered an added advantage, demonstrating familiarity with international procurement procedures, environmental and social safeguards, and stakeholder coordination in donor-funded initiatives.
