Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Solutions Team. You will support day-to-day project controls activities for internal projects and external clients, ensuring accurate cost management and quantity take-offs.

The role requires experience with EPC/EPCM/PMC environments, advanced Excel skills, and ability to communicate cost information to multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field.
• Progressive professional experience in Project Controls.
• Experience on international EPC/EPCM/PMC projects.
• Advanced Excel; VBA/Power Query/Power BI an advantage.
• Strong communication and cost reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Understanding client requirements and quantities take-off as per marking and drawings.
• Prepare BOQ by studying specification sheets.
• Identify gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and close them.
• Coordinate with the design team for analyzing architectural and service drawings.

We are looking for a driven and progressive Quantity Surveyor to join our Project Solutions Team and help us support our internal projects and our external clients.

As a key member of our Estimation Team, you’ll provide the day-to-day support and execution of project controls functions for projects and programs.

• Understanding the client requirements and quantities take off as per marking and drawings.
• Prepare BOQ (bill of quantities) by studying specification sheets
• Identify gaps between BOQ and drawings, specifications and conditions of the contract and taking it for a logical closure.
• Coordinate with the design team for analysing architectural and service drawings.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field.
• Progressive professional experience in Project Controls profession.
• Knowledge and experience working on international projects / program in various industries within an EPC / EPCM / PMC delivery models
• Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook) and other commonly used Project Controls Systems (PCS).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of VBA, Power Query and Power BI will be an advantage.
• Ability to effectively communicate project controls information to varied audiences including project management teams and /or client if required.
• Strong analytical skills to facilitate formulation of rationale and reasoning behind project cost / budget reconciliation
• Thorough understanding of Project Controls systems to support project-specific execution requirements
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, being an active listener, with engagement skills that cultivates trust.
• Experience with sales support, staffing, forecasting and project performance management.
