Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in the Philippines to own and evolve test automation across API, UI, and mobile layers. You will work closely with engineering, product, and UX to drive quality, automate complex workflows, and steadily reduce defects.

You will build and maintain tests using Node.js, JavaScript with Mocha, WebdriverIO, and Appium, ensuring robust automation for new features and existing functions. A Bachelor's degree and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Javascript coding experience and the ability to build/maintain test automation in a codebase (not just record/playback testing).

• Strong analytical skills and High attention to detail to assist in documenting and solutioning technical requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in automating complex API or UI workflows is required.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of test automation strategies and execution.
• Drive systematic quality improvements across API, app, and UI layers with engineering, product, and UX teams.
• Build and maintain automated tests using Node.js, JavaScript with Mocha + WebdriverIO, and Appium.
• Design automation for complex, stateful workflows including authentication handling, session management, webhooks, and end‑to‑end validation.
• Collaborate with QA to automate testing for new features and existing functionality.
• Identify, log, and document bugs using bug‑tracking tools for timely resolution.
• Monitor, track, and assist in troubleshooting defects with developers and stakeholders.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups and QA planning meetings to report testing progress and risks.
