Job summary

Reed Elsevier Shared Services (Philippines) Inc Company is hiring for a QA professional to contribute to QA process improvements and ensure high quality through software releases. You will work with Developers, Product Owners, and analysts to complete testing tasks and expand testing coverage using appropriate tools.

The role requires learning new processes and tools, with night shift hours. Basic knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and data visualization platforms like PowerBI/Tableau

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science/analytics or related field.
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Basic knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL.
• Familiar with HPCC ECL is a PLUS.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
• Ability to learn new processes, tools, and technologies.

Key Accountabilities

Contribute to improving the QA process and quality standards. To work with Developers, Product Owners, Product Analysts and other test team members to complete testing tasks. To ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through software release. To provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is done according to the schedule and quality requirements. Determine testing tools and software that can be implemented to aid QA and maximize testing coverage. Diagnose system problems using dumps, traces or other diagnostic tools. Flexible to other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science/analytics or related field.
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Basic knowledge of applicable development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, Javascript, SQL.
• Familiar with HPCC ECL is a PLUS.
• Experience in data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau.
• Basic knowledge of data manipulation languages.
• Ability and desire to learn new processes, tools, and technologies.
• Good research skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams to elevate major issues as needed.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.

Shift Requirement

Night shift (9pm‑5am or 10pm‑6am)
