Job Summary
The Quality Management System (QMS) Representative is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality management system to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that all processes related to salt and chemical distribution meet quality, safety, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage the company’s ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including food safety, environmental, and safety standards.
Monitor and update QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits (e.g., ISO audits, supplier audits, regulatory inspections).
Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements related to salt and chemical distribution.
Address non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Monitor and evaluate operational processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance quality and efficiency.
Work closely with suppliers and logistics teams to maintain product integrity and compliance.
Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and implement corrective measures.
Establish and maintain customer feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement.
Ensure that customer specifications and quality requirements are met.
Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, audit findings, and corrective actions.
Generate reports on quality performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
Ensure all quality documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits and inspections.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in quality management, compliance, or auditing within a chemical, salt, or food distribution environment.
Experience with ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, GWP, or other relevant quality systems.
Strong knowledge of quality control principles, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Experience conducting audits and managing corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QMS software, and data analysis tools.
Certification in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, or Quality Management is a plus.
Experience in handling chemical safety regulations, MSDS/SDS documentation, and environmental compliance.
Familiarity with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and industry best practices.
Willingness to have occasional travel to warehouses, suppliers, and customer sites.
