Job summary

Private Advertiser in the Philippines is seeking a Quality Engineer to perform IQC, inspection, testing, and documentation to ensure product quality. You will support non-conformance resolution, prepare reports, and ensure shipment readiness, working with cross-functional teams to uphold standards.

Experience in manual and automated testing, defect tracking, and maintaining traces to IRIS/SharePoint is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Develop, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
• Perform manual and/or automated testing to ensure software quality, functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Conduct regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing as required.
• Ensure that software releases meet established quality standards prior to deployment.

Job description

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer

1. Incoming Quality Inspection (IQC)

• Performs incoming inspection based on standards and requirements
• Conducts visual inspection using microscope and tools
• Identifies defects, refurbishment, and handling issues
• Ensures compliance with ESD and handling standards

2. Inspection & Testing Execution

• Performs X-ray and XRF testing (basic operation)
• Supports additional inspection methods (dimension, solderability, etc.)
• Applies basic counterfeit detection (AS6081 awareness)
• Verifies MSL condition and packaging integrity

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepares inspection reports within required timelines
• Captures and organizes inspection photos
• Ensures proper documentation and traceability
• Uploads data to IRIS / SharePoint

4. Non-Conformance & Quality Control

• Identifies and reports NCOR items
• Supports containment and disposition activities
• Ensures proper status tagging and traceability
• Coordinates quality issue resolution

5. Shipment Readiness & Support

• Validates materials for shipment readiness
• Ensures only approved materials are released
• Supports urgent inspections and priority shipments
