Job Summary

A Quality Control Inspector in the car rental industry plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards for vehicles and customer service. They act as the frontline in guaranteeing a positive rental experience. Your responsibilities will include performing quality control inspections on all company-owned and non-pool rental vehicles to guarantee their compliance with Land Transportation Office (LTO) and safety regulations at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection:
    • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles upon return from rental and before being rented out again. This includes:
    • Interior: Checking for cleanliness, damage, stains, functionality of electronics (radio, navigation, etc.), and missing items.
    • Exterior: Examining for dents, scratches, damage to lights, tires, and overall condition.
    • Mechanical: Checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and basic functionality.
    • Documenting all findings accurately and clearly using checklists, forms, and potentially photos.
    • Flagging vehicles needing cleaning, repair, or maintenance.
  • Maintaining Standards:
    • Ensuring vehicles meet the company's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle inspection and maintenance.
  • Reporting:
    • Reporting any damage or mechanical issues to the appropriate department via Damage Report (Fleet Department).
    • Maintaining accurate records of vehicle inspections and any identified problems.
  • Teamwork:
    • Collaborating with other departments (cleaning, maintenance, customer service) to ensure smooth vehicle flow and customer satisfaction.
