Job Summary
A Quality Control Inspector in the car rental industry plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards for vehicles and customer service. They act as the frontline in guaranteeing a positive rental experience. Your responsibilities will include performing quality control inspections on all company-owned and non-pool rental vehicles to guarantee their compliance with Land Transportation Office (LTO) and safety regulations at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Inspection:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles upon return from rental and before being rented out again. This includes:
- Interior: Checking for cleanliness, damage, stains, functionality of electronics (radio, navigation, etc.), and missing items.
- Exterior: Examining for dents, scratches, damage to lights, tires, and overall condition.
- Mechanical: Checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and basic functionality.
- Documenting all findings accurately and clearly using checklists, forms, and potentially photos.
- Flagging vehicles needing cleaning, repair, or maintenance.
- Maintaining Standards:
- Ensuring vehicles meet the company's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle inspection and maintenance.
- Reporting:
- Reporting any damage or mechanical issues to the appropriate department via Damage Report (Fleet Department).
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle inspections and any identified problems.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborating with other departments (cleaning, maintenance, customer service) to ensure smooth vehicle flow and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- With Technical or Vocational Certifications related to Automotive Industry, College Diploma (Fresh Graduate are welcome to apply)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a plus
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance systems, tools, and equipment to perform inspections effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Previous experience in automotive industry or quality control
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, report findings, and provide feedback to ensure quality standards are met
