Job summary

Austal Philippines is seeking a Quality Control Assistant (Welding) to support weld quality control plans, inspections, and related documentation in Cebu on-site. The role requires preparing resources, performing inspections, and reporting results to ensure conformance to quality requirements and welding codes.

Ideal candidates have a Senior High education, basic AutoCAD knowledge, and solid interpretation of technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum upper secondary education graduate (Senior high).
• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge on technical drawing interpretations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in weld quality control plans, destructive and non-destructive test plan and procedure.
• Prepare and/or check required resources, data, documents and reports.
• Execute inspection or test and document results.
• Maintain and improve inspection processes to ensure quality conformance.

Quality Control Assistant (Welding)

PURPOSE

The QC Assistant (Welding) provides support in the implementation of weld quality control plans, destructive and non-destructive test plan and procedure, and other welding quality related activities to ensure conformance to specified Quality requirement and welding codes and standards. His/Her tasks include preparation and/or checking of required resources (materials, test area, tools/equipment, data, documents), execution of the required inspection or test and preparing reports and relevant documentation. He/She is also responsible for maintaining and improving inspection process and controls to achieve and continuously improve quality of constructed vessels.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum upper secondary education graduate (Senior high)
• Basic knowledge in AutoCAD
• Good working knowledge on technical drawing interpretations

Desirable

• Preferably College graduate, Engineering or Technical courses
• Working experience as a welder is an advantage
• With knowledge or working experience as an NDT operator/technician
