Job summary

Atos in Makati is seeking a Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation Tester) to ensure software quality across the SDLC. You will design and execute test strategies, develop reusable automation scripts, and collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and QA teams to identify defects and improve testing processes.

The role involves planning, manual and automation testing, QA process improvement, and reporting metrics.

Qualifications

• Review and understand business requirements, functional specs, non-functional requirements, and technical design documents.
• Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to translate requirements into testable scenarios.
• Design comprehensive test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
• Provide meaningful feedback on requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Identify testing scope, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.
• Communicate testing requirements and resource needs to Test Leads and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Execute functional, integration, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Perform UI, usability, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Verify software functionality against requirements and expected business outcomes.
• Document test results and provide detailed testing reports.
• Ensure defects are properly reproduced and documented.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain reusable automated test scripts.
• Create automation frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Log, track, verify, and manage software defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Validate defect fixes through retesting activities.
• Perform regression testing following code changes and enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing frameworks.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level QA engineers.
• Promote best practices in testing, automation, and quality engineering.
