Our Quality Assurance practice is integrated across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the agreed-upon standards and requirements are met in order to deliver the highest quality product. Whether Critical Mass is solely responsible for delivering the end-to-end solution or we're working with integration partners, QA is an integral part of our delivery process.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Director will work with technology, creative, and other project leaders to help design and deliver the highest quality customer experiences to our clients and their customers. With a view over all delivered work, the Director has a unique vantage point from which to spot trends and recurrent needs, and a responsibility for connecting the dots that will yield a more efficient, effective delivery.

You Will

  • Co-lead the automation practice together with the QA Director, to whom you will report.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks, primarily using Playwright and related modern automation tools.
  • Architect and drive integrations between automation platforms and CI/CD pipelines, test management systems, and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate closely with the QA Director, other Tech Directors, and cross-functional teams to ensure automation efforts are aligned with business and technology goals.
  • Mentor and support automation engineers, fostering best practices in test automation, code quality, and architectural standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to continuously evolve the automation practice.
  • Define and uphold standards, KPIs, and processes to ensure high-quality automated solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for improved automation coverage and process enhancements across all test levels (UI, API, integration, performance).
  • Communicate automation strategies and complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You Have

  • Advanced English level (At least C1)
  • 10+ years of experience as a QA specialist.
  • Proven hands-on experience as an SDET, Automation Architect, or similar role, with a track record of leading automation initiatives at scale.
  • Strong architectural skills, with experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation solutions and integrations.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with test management systems, defect tracking, and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills.
  • Strong mentoring and communication skills; able to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and drive to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for building maintainable, scalable automation frameworks.

What We Offer:

  • Maternity and parental leave extra days
  • Competitive benefits packages
  • Vacation, compassionate leave, sick days, and flex days
  • Access to online services for families and new parents
  • Diversity and Inclusion Board with 12 affinity groups
  • Internal learning and development programs
  • Enterprise-wide employee discounts
