Job summary

CBRE GWS IFM PHILS. CORP. seeks a competent QHSE Lead to oversee health, safety, and environmental programs at our manufacturing facility in Baguio, Benguet, Philippines. You will ensure regulatory compliance, promote a safety culture, and minimize workplace hazards.

The role requires leading WHS initiatives, conducting inspections and risk assessments, and coordinating training and emergency drills to safeguard personnel and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer III in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience in incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
• Experience handling Environmental, Health and Safety Standards and Protocols.
• SO3 or equivalent certification; First Aid/ BLS an advantage; Fire Safety/Emergency Response training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) programs and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments throughout the manufacturing plant.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local occupational safety regulations and company standards.
• Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox meetings, emergency drills, and safety training programs.
• Monitor contractor and employee compliance with safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
• Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response preparedness, including fire prevention and evacuation procedures.
• Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and work practices to reduce safety risks.
• Participate in management meetings and provide regular safety performance reports.
• Ensure availability and proper use of PPE.
• Assist in environmental, health, and safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Job Summary

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer III in a manufacturing, industrial, production environment, powerplants or multiple building industry setup.
• Experience in conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
• Experience handing Environmental, Health and Safety Standards and Protocols.
• Certifications:
• Valid Safety Officer certification (SO3 or equivalent, depending on local regulatory requirements).
• First Aid and Basic Life Support certification is an advantage.
• Fire Safety and Emergency Response training is preferred
