We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Tester with Customer Support experience to join our team as an independent contractor. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on software testing with customer support. It's a great opportunity for someone early in their QA career who wants to develop practical experience across software testing, bug reporting, release validation, and customer issue triage. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and the customer support team to help identify bugs, validate fixes, protect critical user flows, and ensure customer-reported issues are properly documented and escalated.
Perform basic smoke testing on new builds and releases to verify that core functionality is working as expected
Execute assigned test cases across web and/or mobile applications
Identify and document bugs, including clear steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results
Re-test resolved issues to confirm that fixes are working correctly
Perform basic regression testing to ensure existing functionality has not been affected by changes
Test common user flows and identify usability or functionality issues
Work with developers and senior QA team members to clarify requirements and testing expectations
Assist with testing Release Candidate (RC) builds before launch
Respond to customer inquiries through email, chat, or ticketing systems in a friendly and professional manner
Investigate customer-reported issues and attempt to reproduce reported problems
Some experience or training in software QA, software testing, or a related field
Basic understanding of software testing principles and QA processes
Familiarity with bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Linear, Trello, or similar platforms
Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing
Ability to follow test cases and identify unexpected application behavior
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Comfortable communicating technical issues clearly and professionally
Ability to manage both structured testing tasks and customer support requests
Willingness to learn and develop QA skills in a fast-paced environment
