PRIME POWER ENERGIE SYSTEM, INC. seeks a cost engineer to support bid preparation, budgeting, and cost control across electrical and mechanical projects.

You will analyze client requirements, perform feasibility studies, and ensure budget integrity throughout design changes and procurement interactions. The role requires a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and a proactive, analytical mindset to address cost variances and optimize project financials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Licensed engineer is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare bid documents and cost estimates for projects.
• Assist in defining client requirements and feasibility studies.
• Track design changes and adjust budgets accordingly.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets including labor, materials, equipment and services.
• Perform cost analysis and estimate project costs.
• Analyze completed projects to explain cost variances.
• Monitor costs and provide cost-control recommendations.
• Validate cost data for consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement and contract management to manage costs and negotiate contracts.

Description du poste

• Preparation of bid documents, including bills of quantities with sales and/or the client. Undertaking cost analysis.
• Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
• Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work, and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
• Preparing and maintaining project budgets, including labor, materials. equipment and services.
• Perform cost analysis, estimating the expected cost for the project.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine reasons for any discrepancies.
• Monitor project costs and provide cost control recommendations.
• Validate cost data from various sources for consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement and contract management to manage costs and negotiate contracts
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer, is not required but a plus
• With atleast 3 years experience
• Willing to work on-site and start immediately
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for addressing quality issues.
• Communication and fellowship skills to collaborate with various projects.
