Job summary

Prime Power Energie System Inc. is seeking a cost engineer to prepare bid documents, including bills of quantities, and to assist in establishing client requirements and feasibility studies.

You will track design changes, prepare and maintain project budgets, perform cost analysis, monitor costs, and collaborate with procurement to manage contracts. A Bachelor's in Electrical and Mechanical Eng is required, with at least 3 years' experience.

Qualifications

• Prepares bid documents, including bills of quantities, for client submissions.
• Assists in establishing client requirements and feasibility studies.
• Tracks design changes and adjusts budget projections accordingly.
• Prepares and maintains budgets for labor, materials, equipment and services.
• Performs cost analysis and estimates project costs.
• Analyzes completed projects to compare estimates with actual costs.
• Monitors costs and provides cost control recommendations.
• Validates cost data from multiple sources for consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborates with procurement and contract management to control costs and negotiate contracts.

Job description

• Preparation of bid documents, including bills of quantities with sales and/or the client. Undertaking cost analysis.
• Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
• Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work, and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
• Preparing and maintaining project budgets, including labor, materials. equipment and services.
• Perform cost analysis, estimating the expected cost for the project.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine reasons for any discrepancies.
• Monitor project costs and provide cost control recommendations.
• Validate cost data from various sources for consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement and contract management to manage costs and negotiate contracts
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer, is not required but a plus
• With atleast 3 years experience
• Willing to work on-site and start immediately
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for addressing quality issues.
• Communication and fellowship skills to collaborate with various projects.
