Job summary

Planate Management Group South East Asia Corp (PMG SEAC) seeks a QA/QC Engineer to design quality standards, inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products. You will develop QC systems and determine corrective actions to ensure quality across construction projects.

You must be willing to relocate to our project sites, with 5+ years of relevant infrastructure QA experience and a CQM certification preferred. Fluency in English and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed engineer with minimum 5 years on large infrastructure projects.
• Onsite construction QA/QC and safety surveillance experience.
• Experience in pre-stressing works and concrete mix-design variations.
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.
• Ensure QA procedures with testing, sampling, and inspection time limits.
• Oversee quality assessment of materials via laboratory tests.
• Review specifications and recommend standard construction specs.
• Review test forms, QA testing schedules and evaluate results.
• Assess contractor practices and propose remedial actions.
• Collaborate with project engineers to set inspection/testing procedures.
• Conduct initial source surveys to ensure quality and value.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

TheQA/QC Engineer will be responsible for designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions to ensure specific quality standards are constantly met at all levels of construction projects.

You must be willing to relocate to any of our project sites.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work
• Ensure the establishment of quality procedures including time limits for inspection, sampling and testing of works and other QA/QC requirements
• Oversee and manage the quality assessment of materials through regular and rigid laboratory tests
• In consultation with the project staff, review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specifications for all items of works for their effective use in projects' works
• Review all standard test forms to be used during laboratory tests, QA testing schedules and procedures and evaluate results as appropriate
• Review contractor practices and conventional methodologies and make recommendations where remedial action is required
• Work with project engineers and design consultants for establishing procedures with time limits for the inspection, sampling and testing of works and all other QA/QC requirements
• Conduct initial survey queries on sources to materials, ensuring quality and quantity is of economic value to the project
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

• Licensed Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction quality assurance and construction safety surveillance experience on a commercial or military infrastructure project.
• Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different conditions of construction procedures.
• Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills.
• With a valid driver's license.
