Job summary

Planate Management Group South East Asia Corp (PMG SEAC) is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to design quality standards, inspect materials, and develop QC systems for construction projects. The role requires relocation to project sites and hands-on QA/QC oversight on-site.

Ideal candidates hold a licensed engineering credential and 5+ years in large infrastructure QA, with CQM certification preferred. Strong English, safety surveillance, and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed engineer with minimum 5 years' experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Certification in Construction Quality Management (CQM) is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction QA and safety surveillance experience.
• Experience in pre-stressing works and concrete mix-design under varied conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.
• Ensure QA procedures with time limits for inspection, sampling and testing.
• Oversee material quality via regular laboratory tests.
• Review specifications and recommend standard construction practices.
• Review test forms and evaluate lab results appropriately.
• Assess contractor practices and recommend remedial actions as needed.
• Coordinate with project engineers to establish testing procedures and time limits.
• Conduct initial supplier/source surveys to ensure material quality and value.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

TheQA/QC Engineer will be responsible for designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions to ensure specific quality standards are constantly met at all levels of construction projects.

You must be willing to relocate to any of our project sites.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work
• Ensure the establishment of quality procedures including time limits for inspection, sampling and testing of works and other QA/QC requirements
• Oversee and manage the quality assessment of materials through regular and rigid laboratory tests
• In consultation with the project staff, review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specifications for all items of works for their effective use in projects' works
• Review all standard test forms to be used during laboratory tests, QA testing schedules and procedures and evaluate results as appropriate
• Review contractor practices and conventional methodologies and make recommendations where remedial action is required
• Work with project engineers and design consultants for establishing procedures with time limits for the inspection, sampling and testing of works and all other QA/QC requirements
• Conduct initial survey queries on sources to materials, ensuring quality and quantity is of economic value to the project
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

• Licensed Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction quality assurance and construction safety surveillance experience on a commercial or military infrastructure project.
• Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different conditions of construction procedures.
• Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills.
• With a valid driver's license.
