Job summary

GECO Asia Pte. Ltd is seeking a QA Manual Generalist to ensure software quality across manual testing, UI/web, API testing, and SQL validation within an Agile environment.

Mid- to senior-level candidates should demonstrate leadership, mentoring, and drive for quality improvements. The role involves designing test strategies, maintaining test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or College degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Mid QA Manual Generalist: at least 3 years of QA experience.
• Senior QA Manual Generalist: at least 5 years of QA experience.
• Proficient in creating and executing test cases, scripts, and documentation.
• Experience in creating Test Plans and defining effective testing strategies.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and SDLC (Waterfall and Agile).
• Exposure to manual testing, UI/web, API testing, SQL validation, and basic automation.
• ISTQB testing certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UI/web testing.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, scripts, data, and RTM.
• Develop master test plans and effort estimates.
• Execute test scenarios and provide defect reports with documentation.
• Perform API testing, SQL validation, and basic automation testing.
• Collaborate with Automation QA Engineers to support automation efforts.
• Review and maintain automated tests when required.
• Ensure test environments and data are prepared and maintained.
• Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify quality risks.
• Lead QA activities for projects and mentor junior QA members.
• Align testing approaches with QA standards and best practices.
