Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking a QA Engineer III to lead quality assurance for systems handling actuarial models, insurance datasets, and financial risk analysis. You will ensure data accuracy and integrity across actuarial platforms, reporting tools, and analytics environments.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in QA with at least 2 years in data or actuarial testing, strong SQL, and experience with actuarial software or insurance data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Mathematics/Actuarial Science or related field.
• 4–6 years in QA/testing, with at least 2 years in data/actuarial testing environments.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and validating large datasets.
• Experience with actuarial software, risk models, or insurance data preferred.
• Familiarity with ETL, data warehouses, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills; able to collaborate across teams.
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and cases for actuarial and data-driven applications.
• Validate data pipelines, transformations, and reporting outputs for high-volume datasets.
• Collaborate with actuarial analysts, data engineers, and developers on requirements and data flows.
• Perform regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for model releases and system updates.
• Use SQL and other tools to validate calculations, mappings, and results in data platforms.
• Identify data anomalies and root causes; support resolution efforts.
• Maintain QA documentation including test plans, data dictionaries, and validation rules.
• Support compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards where applicable.

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for actuarial models and data-driven applications.
• Validate data pipelines, transformations, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy in high-volume, complex datasets.
