Job summary

AGSI is seeking a QA Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests. You will work with Agile teams to plan test cases, write automation scripts, and optimize the testing framework to ensure robust software delivery.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in Selenium with Java, TestNG/JUnit, and CI tools like Jenkins, with strong SQL skills and knowledge of ETL/ELT processes. Joining AGSI means contributing to high-quality product validations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Proficient in OOP concepts: inheritance, abstraction, encapsulation, and polymorphism.
Hands-on automation and manual testing framework experience.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Selenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Cucumber, Jenkins, and Git/Bitbucket.
Experience in developing test scripts for BDD using Cucumber/Spock.
Experience with functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.
Knowledge of build management tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible.
Know how to use Xray for test management and execution in JIRA.
Experience with CI tools (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Azure DevOps / TeamCity).
Experience working with Agile teams to define test plans/cases and report defects.
Understanding of Testing Life Cycle including test designs, test case development, and test reports.
5 - 12 years of experience in Testing / SDET / Dev (mixed background preferred).
Strong SQL and data transformation skills; understanding ETL/ELT fundamentals.
Candidates with prior development experience and knowledge are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Works with Agile Program Manager, DPM, and BSA to document and plan test cases for regression, integration, and automation plans.
Writes test automation scripts (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#).
Troubleshoots and optimizes the automation framework.
Supports functional validation and sprint activities.
Communicates with development and product teams to ensure proper test coverage.
Builds and executes automated test plans against new features; reports defects for resolution.
Continuously improves automation framework and workflow processes; keeps tools up to date.
Leads scrum test teams by example and mentors junior members on automation trends.
