Job summary

Amadeus in the Philippines is seeking a QA Engineer II to join our testing team. You will validate backend and frontend components, design and execute test cases, and contribute to both manual and automated test efforts using Java-based tooling.

You will review specifications, develop test scripts, and help implement quality processes across CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and knowledge of Selenium and Cypress are highly valued as we ensure robust product quality in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in QA or software testing with manual and automated testing
• Familiarity with Selenium and Cypress
• Exposure to regression, functional, performance, and unit testing
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Understanding of Agile SDLC methodologies

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and design test cases.
• Create manual and automated scripts.
• Define, implement, and roll out new quality processes.
• Maintain and optimize test cases in regression and CI/CD pipelines.
• Assess and implement test automation and improve testing frameworks.
• Manage defects by reporting, investigating, and verifying fixes.

Inthisroleyou’ll:

• Leveragetechnicalandfunctionalexpertisetocontributetotestingstrategies,ensuringalignmentwithAmadeus’businessandqualitystandards.
• Participateinspecificationandarchitecturereviews,providingfeedbackonrisksandgaps.
• Define different test strategies, plans and cases functional and non functional), ensuring traceability with requirements
• Designandexecutetestcases,validatefeatures,andprovidego or no go decisions based on exit criteria.
• Maintainandoptimize test cases in regerssion and CI/CD pipelines, addressing flaky tests and adding/removing cases as needed.
• Assessandimplementtestautomation,contributingtotheimprovementofframeworks.
• Managedefectsbyreporting,investigating,andverifyingfixes,ensuringproductionquality.
• Report ontestingprogressandmilestones,ensuringclearcommunicationwithstakeholders.

About the Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Experience in QA or software testing, with experience in both manual and automated testing
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium and Cypress
• Exposure doing regression, functional, performance, Unit testing
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Good communication, time management, and collaboration abilities
• Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies (Agile)
