Competenze

• 3+ years of professional QA/testing experience in consumer electronics or medical devices.
• Knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA, CE, ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
• Experience with test automation tools and programming (Python or similar).
• Hands-on with hardware testing equipment.

About the role

Grantech Pte Ltd is seeking a talented QA Engineer (Consumer Electronics & Medical Device) to join our engineering team. This is a full-time position based in the Aljunied Central Region. As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability and safety of our consumer electronics and medical device products. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies, identifying defects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact product excellence and customer satisfaction. This role is essential to maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in the competitive electronics and medical device markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and execute comprehensive quality assurance test plans and test cases for consumer electronics and medical device products
• Conduct functional, performance, and safety testing to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Identify, document and track defects using defect management systems, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues
• Perform compliance testing to ensure adherence to relevant medical device regulations and consumer electronics standards
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage
• Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analysis to identify potential product risks and quality issues
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing and regulatory teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the product lifecycle
• Maintain detailed testing documentation, reports and metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in design reviews and provide quality input to inform product development decisions
• Stay current with industry standards, testing methodologies and best practices in medical device and consumer electronics quality assurance

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• 3+ years of professional experience in quality assurance or testing for consumer electronics and/or medical devices
• Strong understanding of medical device regulations (including FDA, CE marking, ISO9001 and ISO 13485 standards) and consumer electronics compliance requirements
• Proficiency in test automation tools and programming languages (such as Python, C, or similar)
• Hands‑on experience with hardware testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analysers and similar tools
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing and compatibility testing
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across cross‑functional teams
• Certification in quality assurance or related fields (such as ISTQB or ASQ) is desirable
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies (such as FMEA or HAZOP) is advantageous
