Job summary

menumiz is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be the final line of defense, ensuring our software and AI-driven features are reliable, secure, and resilient.

You won’t just follow standard test plans—you will think like an adversarial user, design complex test scenarios, and stress-test our application in a fast-moving, AI-accelerated environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on manual, functional, non-functional and regression testing.
• Understand STLC, Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Partitioning, and Risk-based Testing.
• Analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving with edge-case focus.
• Inspect web pages, review browser network tabs, and read logs.
• Test APIs with Postman, cURL or Insomnia.
• Basic SQL to inspect and verify database states.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Test Case & Scenario Design: Write comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases from specs.
• Adversarial & Edge-Case Testing: attempt to break system features using negative testing and boundary checks.
• AI & Logic Validation: test non-deterministic outputs, evaluate AI responses, detect hallucinations and guardrails.
• Exploratory Testing: perform unscripted deep-dive testing to uncover hidden bugs.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: document bugs with reproducible steps, logs, and severity in Jira/Linear.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with developers and product managers to clarify acceptance criteria and root cause analysis.
