Job summary

Wissen Technology is seeking a QA Automation Engineer / SDET with 3–6 years of software testing and automation experience. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Playwright, API Testing, AWS, and React-based applications.

Experience working on HR, HRMS, HCM, Payroll, Recruitment, Employee Management, or other HR platforms will be highly preferred. Hybrid work mode with MCA/B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech education.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation / SDET roles.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.
• Experience in API Testing using Postman/REST Assured or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Create and execute end-to-end, regression, functional, and integration test scenarios.
• Perform API testing for RESTful APIs, including validation of request/response, status codes and headers.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
• Execute automated and manual test cases based on project requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools.
• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
• Perform regression testing for new features and production fixes.
• Work with AWS-hosted applications and troubleshoot testing/environment-related issues.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other QA engineers.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, requirement analysis, and sprint ceremonies.

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer / SDET with 3–6 years of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Playwright, API Testing, AWS, and React-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
  
• Create and execute end-to-end, regression, functional, and integration test scenarios.
  
• Perform API testing for RESTful APIs, including validation of request/response, status codes, headers, authentication, and data.
  
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
  
• Execute automated and manual test cases based on project requirements.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools.
  
• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
  
• Perform regression testing for new features, enhancements, and production fixes.
  
• Work with AWS-hosted applications and troubleshoot testing/environment-related issues.
  
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other QA engineers.
  
• Participate in test planning, estimation, requirement analysis, and sprint ceremonies.
  
• Contribute to improving automation coverage, test reliability, and overall QA processes.
  

Required Skills:

• 3–6 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation / SDET roles.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.
  
• Good experience in API Testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  
• Strong understanding of Web application testing and end-to-end testing concepts.
  
• Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application environments.
  
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
  
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
