Job summary

UPTC in Makati seeks an experienced Python Developer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. You will work with FastAPI, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver robust software.

Responsibilities include API security with JWT/OAuth2, database work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and code reviews to ensure secure development practices in enterprise fintech-like environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong REST API design with FastAPI required.
• Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and multi-container environments.
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline/CodeDeploy).
• Bitbucket version control experience is mandatory.
• API security implementation using JWT and OAuth2 required.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience in enterprise software/fintech environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs with Python and FastAPI.
• Build scalable, secure backend applications.
• Develop and manage containerized apps using Docker and Compose.
• Deploy in AWS with established CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with CodePipeline and CodeDeploy for deployments.
• Implement API versioning, authentication, and security controls.
• Implement API security using JWT and OAuth2.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Optimize performance and reviews code for secure development.
