Qualifications
At least 1 year of working experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar role.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
Can work within deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data driven approach to procurement decision-making.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive and results oriented with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Hands-on experience with purchasing software is a plus.
Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
Review the purchase request received to ensure descriptions and specifications are accurate and complete.
Request quotations and compare supplier offers based on price, quality, and service terms.
Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
Follow up on order status with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and update supplier databases.
Assist in resolving issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or incorrect orders.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to avoid disruptions in operations.
Support vendor negotiations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and company standards.
Provide assistance to Purchasing Officers on purchasing-related transactions, as needed.
