Job summary

Plan International Pilipinas is seeking a Project Officer to support youth-led and community-driven climate action initiatives in urban and coastal communities. This role requires fieldwork and collaboration with communities, youth groups, and local partners.

The position is project-based (until June 2027) and reports to the Project Manager, with a focus on strengthening climate resilience through inclusive, gender-responsive approaches and knowledge-sharing. Tacloban City, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, behavioral sciences, DRRM, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with communities, youth, or development projects.
• Experience facilitating community activities, trainings, or group discussions.
• Good organization and documentation skills.
• Passion for climate action, community development, and working with young people.

Project Officer

Plan International Pilipinas, through the EcoTayo: Ugnayan sa Klima for Resilient Communities Project, is seeking a Project Officer to support youth-led and community-driven climate action initiatives in urban and coastal communities.

Funded by the Australian Government through DFAT and Plan International Australia, EcoTayo aims to strengthen climate resilience through gender-responsive, inclusive, and nature-based solutions that empower young women, vulnerable youth, and local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with communities, youth groups, and local partners to plan and deliver project activities.
• Facilitate community discussions, workshops, and capacity-building sessions.
• Gather community data and help track project results and progress.
• Prepare and monitor project requests, payments, and required documents.
• Document project activities, stories, and lessons learned.
