Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems Philippines (AMPI) is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that optimize manufacturing operations and enterprise processes. The role blends disciplined project delivery with hands-on understanding of MES, ERP integration, and AI-enabled improvements within the enterprise PMO framework.

As part of the PMO, you will coordinate global delivery teams, manage scope, schedule, and costs, and ensure business outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; at least five years of IT project management experience.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification required.
• Experience delivering manufacturing IT projects in a production environment, including MES, factory applications, or ERP integration.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, cross-functional dependencies, vendors, and globally distributed teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong stakeholder communication, facilitation, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Practical familiarity with AI or automation use cases and their delivery considerations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sponsors, Business Engagement and Value Management, business analysts, architects, engineering teams, and operations leaders to confirm objectives, scope, requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Complete the BA-to-PM handoff and confirm the charter, sponsor, funding, staffing commitments, dependencies, and decision rights before committing to delivery dates. Lead kickoff and clarify roles and responsibilities.
• Build and maintain integrated schedules, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and critical paths. Manage projects through Initialization, Planning, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Stabilization, and Close.
• Coordinate staffing across solution architecture, product engineering, infrastructure, security, and shared services. Surface capacity constraints, limit work in progress, and present sequencing and scope tradeoffs for approval.
• Own risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change control. Resolve delivery obstacles, escalates decisions promptly, and maintain recovery plans with accountable owners and dates.
• Apply enterprise PMO standards and prepare evidence for Decision Checkpoints in the appropriate governance forums.

The Opportunity

Lead cross-functional IT projects that improve manufacturing operations and enterprise business processes at AMPI. The role combines disciplined project delivery with practical understanding of manufacturing systems, ERP integration, and AI-enabled improvement. Working within the enterprise PMO and TDS operating model, the Project Manager translates approved priorities into executable plans, coordinates global delivery teams, and provides clear accountability for scope, schedule, cost, readiness, and business outcomes.

What You Will Do

Project planning and execution

• Partner with sponsors, Business Engagement and Value Management, business analysts, architects, engineering teams, and operations leaders to confirm objectives, scope, requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.

PMO governance and business accountability

• Apply enterprise PMO standards and prepare evidence for Decision Checkpoints in the appropriate governance forums. Obtain and record sponsor and business approvals for material changes and readiness decisions.
• Lead project working sessions and weekly Steering Committee reviews as appropriate to project scale and risk. Bring concise status, exceptions, decisions needed, and recovery actions to portfolio reviews.
• Maintain consistent project data in Jira, Smartsheet, and approved reporting tools. Track milestone predictability, budget variance, delivery cycle time, time spent in each phase, and overdue actions and decisions.
• Manage vendors and global delivery partners against agreed deliverables, quality, service commitments, and acceptance criteria. Track rework, knowledge transfer, and demands on internal subject matter experts.

Manufacturing systems and operational readiness

• Lead implementations, upgrades, integrations, and improvements involving manufacturing execution systems (MES), factory applications, and ERP. Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehouse, logistics, and Finance teams.
• Translate manufacturing needs such as production tracking, work in process, traceability, inventory movements, yield, and production costing into coordinated delivery plans with business analysts and technical specialists.
• Coordinate projects involving Siemens Opcenter and Mapsuite, Oracle EBS, and connected factory and logistics applications. Understand interfaces, master data, and downstream dependencies sufficiently to challenge plans and identify delivery risks.
• Plan integration testing, user acceptance testing, data conversion and reconciliation, training, cutover, rollback, and production support. Schedule changes around production constraints and secure business readiness and go-live approvals.
• Complete stabilization and support handover with operating documentation, support ownership, and knowledge transfer. Close projects with business acceptance, lessons learned, and benefit measures and owners.

AI enablement and continuous improvement

• Partner with business and technical teams to assess AI and automation use cases, define value measures, and lead pilots and implementations with clear acceptance criteria and accountable business owners.
• Use approved AI tools to improve planning, reporting, analysis, and knowledge management. Validate outputs and follow company requirements for data protection, security, and AI governance.
• Track adoption, productivity improvements, cost savings, and other agreed benefits with Finance and business owners. Improve PMO practices using delivery data and lessons learned.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; at least five years of IT project management experience. PMP or equivalent project management certification required.
• Demonstrated delivery of manufacturing IT projects in a production environment, including MES, factory applications, or ERP integration; working knowledge of manufacturing, quality, inventory, and supply chain processes.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, cross-functional dependencies, vendors, and globally distributed teams in a matrix organization using structured and Agile or hybrid delivery methods.
• Strong stakeholder communication, facilitation, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills; ability to hold owners accountable and present clear recommendations and tradeoffs.
• Practical familiarity with AI or automation use cases and their delivery considerations; proficiency in project planning, collaboration, and reporting tools.
