Job summary

A leading technology company in Davao City is seeking an experienced project manager to lead projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of project management experience, particularly in software development, along with excellent communication and analytical skills. The role involves collaboration across functional groups and clear communication with stakeholders. Candidates with a degree in Industrial Engineering or Information Technology are preferred.

Job description
Opportunity Overview
  • Lead or manage projects, programs, or portfolios from conception through completion, including process improvement, cost savings, software development, and transfer of technology, using project management techniques and processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional groups over the project life cycle; coordinate dependencies and timing of deliverables within project constraints: scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Implement defined project management processes and procedures. Monitor project management compliance of other functional groups and assist when needed.
  • Communicate the status of projects to stakeholders, including Senior Management; escalate issues as needed. Serve as the point of contact for issues and concerns.
  • Present regular project updates to Project Sponsors and Stakeholders.
  • Build PM training materials and conduct training, as necessary.
  • Attend to Project Management Office operational tasks and provide support to operations in linking organizational strategies to project execution and goals.

All About You

  • College graduate of any 4-year course; preferably Industrial Engineering or Information Technology.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in leading/managing projects or continuous improvement activities.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in leading/managing Software Development Projects.
  • Excellent communication and composition skills with the ability to foster communication and integration between project teams and/or functional groups.
  • Analytical, process oriented and strong documentation skills.
  • Outstanding organization and planning skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, teamwork, stakeholder management and project management skills.
  • Ability to work with different levels of the organization and cross-functional groups.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Lean Six Sigma Methodologies is an advantage.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
