Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with at least 8 years of Data Engineering experience to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions within a modern cloud data platform.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in Python, SQL, Databricks, and Azure, with exposure to Snowflake considered an advantage. This role will support large-scale data migration, cloud data engineering, ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and the delivery of reliable data solutions for business and analytics teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and optimize automated data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models within the cloud platform.

• Develop solutions to ingest, process, transform, and store large volumes of data efficiently.

• Support big data migration initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, performance efficiency, and minimal business disruption.

• Create scalable ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion and transformation from various sources.

• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand and deliver data requirements supporting strategic business initiatives.

• Design, develop, and generate data marts and customized data extracts aligned with business requirements.

• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.

• Monitor data pipeline health and performance, troubleshoot data incidents, and implement preventive measures.

• Document data workflows, schemas, technical specifications, and operational runbooks for knowledge transfer and operational support.

• Work closely with Product Owners, Data Architects, and Data Scientists to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices, tools, automation, and processes.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers through code reviews, best-practice sharing, and troubleshooting support.

• Manage and deliver multiple projects or initiatives concurrently while ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.

WORK SETUP

Hybrid – 3x onsite per week
