The Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects in alignment with organizational goals. The role requires strong cross‑functional collaboration, risk management, budget control, and timely delivery of scope‑defined outputs. The Project Manager ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Manage day‑to‑day project activities and coordinate cross‑functional teams (e.g., engineering, product, operations, procurement, IT, QA).
Scope, Schedule, and Budget Management
- Monitor progress against plan; adjust schedules and resource allocation as needed.
- Track project costs, manage budgets, forecast variances, and report on financial performance.
- Implement change control processes; assess scope changes and obtain approvals.
Risk, Issue, and Stakeholder Management
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks; maintain a risk register with mitigation plans.
- Proactively resolve issues and elevate as appropriate.
- Communicate with stakeholders through regular status updates, dashboards, and meetings.
Quality and Compliance
- Ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Communication and Leadership
- Lead project team meetings; foster collaboration and accountability.
- Facilitate decision‑making, conflict resolution, and timely escalations.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership and sponsors.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
- Manage external vendors and third‑party partners; track performance and contracts.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, and internal customers.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation (charter, plan, requirements, change logs, risk logs, lessons learned).
- Ensure smooth handover of project deliverables to operations/support.
