Job summary

Ciena Corporation is seeking a Project Manager to lead packet and access network deployments across key customers in India. You will drive program delivery from planning through deployment, acceptance, and closure, coordinating engineering, field teams, and vendors to ensure on-time, quality outcomes.

In this role you will manage customer relationships, escalations, and governance reviews while tracking budgets, forecasts, and margins.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in delivery of packet/access network deployments (IP/MPLS/FTTx).
• Experience applying project delivery practices across planning to closure.
• Experience managing customer-facing telecom programs with stakeholder engagement.
• Coordination across engineering, field deployment, supply chain, and vendors.
• Experience with project financial management: budgeting, revenue forecasting, margin management.
• Experience with risk identification, root cause analysis, corrective actions.
• Background in field rollout: site readiness, installation, commissioning, network integration.

• Experience: Application of project delivery practices across planning, deployment, acceptance, and project closure phases.
• Experience: Management of customer-facing telecom programs, including stakeholder engagement and escalation handling.
• Experience: Coordination across engineering, field deployment, supply chain, and third-party vendor teams.
• Experience: Utilization of project financial management activities including budget tracking, revenue forecasting, and margin management.
• Experience: Application of risk identification, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
• Experience: Background in field rollout activities including site readiness, installation, commissioning, and network integration.

Nice to haves:

• Experience: Experience from telecom organizations involved in wireless, IP, or access network rollouts.
• Experience: Experience managing complex multi-country telecom programs.
