Job summary

Petroman Trading Inc. is seeking a cost estimator in Metro Manila to prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and BOQ based on drawings and specs. The role involves reviewing plans, coordinating with design teams, and preparing bid proposals for projects targeted for bidding.

You will monitor budgets, analyze costs, track schedules, and prepare progress updates for management, collaborating with design, procurement, PM, and site teams to ensure cost control.

Qualifications

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and BOQ based on drawings and specifications.
• Review civil, structural, and architectural plans to determine quantities, materials, labor, equipment, and other project costs.
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure that design development and cost estimating progress simultaneously.
• Prepare cost estimates and bid proposals for projects targeted for bidding.
• Conduct material canvassing, supplier price comparisons, and cost analysis.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential cost implications in drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, and cost variances.
• Track project schedules, deliverables, and progress against approved plans.
• Prepare project cost reports and progress updates for management.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, project management, and site teams to support project implementation and cost control.
